Whoahhh time to relax and planning new starts.. yes with S
First of all, here is what I got from the Reward Program after I finished At First Sight:
Nesptune Siren from Ching Chou Kuik
And here are some of my WIP’s at this moment and a couple of new starts:
And the Pixies from Nora Corbett:
Lady Alexandra by Mirabilia
Fabric: 28ct Linen band with woven Jacquard from Vaupel & Heilenbeck
Stitched: 2 over 2 and 1 over 1 for the skin tone
Beads: Mill Hill beads and Swarovski crystal
Change some beads with crystal cube… diamonds are a woman best friend 🙂
Diamond earring and tiara
I hope I can finish her next week 🙂
677 and white are filled. Working on 1 over 1 on skin (it’s really Boring!!!) and somehow I was tempted to leave out her head, you know like the headless mannequin – I know I can be that cruel * EVIL *
without 677. It arrived yesterday, so tonight is to fill in the gaps and move on.
I’ve been good, not a stitch on new starts yet, although the patterns are ready as well as the fabrics 🙂
Somehow with all that ribbon bow, I think she looks like a yummy “gift” LOL.
now I have to wait for the threads to arrive… may I have a new start while waiting???? ROFL
I can’t use the Petite Seed beads. It’s really too small for 28ct. So I replace it for some Aubergine color beads that I have in stash. Next update will be the skin. I wonder if it’s possible to stitch over 1 on the woven Jacquard…
This is how it looks like on different angle
Lady Alexandra update.
I am so happy that the stitches sit pretty on the woven Jacquard stripe.
I wonder how the beads will behave…
It is more like a tradition rather than a need to finish it 🙂
Lady Alexandra – Mirabilia
Basically I don’t really like to stitch a Mira. Her designs are beautiful, it just that if I can stitch a Mira in 1 month, then I will end up with 12 Mira’s per year. I need to borrow the walls of my neighbors to hang all the Mira’s. Then I am thinking of making them into scrolls, but not all designs can be turned into scrolls, so I started to experiment 😉
Here is the fabric:
Linen-band from Vaupel & Heilenbeck. Width: 30 cm, with woven Jacquard stripe.
Here is the beginning:
It is POSSIBLE to stitch on the woven Jacquard.
Love my first stitch-fusion 🙂
