Original version.

My colors of choice – Inspired by miscellaneous Japanese fabrics

First motif

Details of first motif:
Using French Knot and long stitch for the stem.
Using Rhodes Stitch for the Orange part on the Yellow flower.

Corner butterflies:
The end of antenna using French Knot surrounded with Jessica Stitch

The end of antenna using double Rhodes, so first Rhodes 1 ply of thread on 2×2 and second Rhodes 1 ply thread on 4×4.

The motifs are done, filling the background and dark blue band.

Part 1 is done, with the initials of my 1st son. The letters are taken from Nouveau Encore Designs pattern – Tribute to the Old Masters, stitched 1 over 1.

Twinkle Twilight

Twinkle twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are?
Up above the world so high , like a diamond in the sky

When the blazing sun is gone, when he nothing shines upon,
Then you show your little light, twinkle, twinkle all the night.

Then the traveller in the dark, thanks you for your tiny spark,
He could not see which way to go, if you did not twinkle so.

In the dark blue sky you keep, and often through my curtains peep,
For you never shut your eye, ’till the sun is in the sky.

As your bright and tiny spark lights the traveller in the dark,
Though I know not what you are – twinkle, twinkle little star.
